Abbey Filko has been a dynamic force in Queensland's tourism industry for nearly two decades. As the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Airtrain since 2017, she oversees marketing, brand, media, and partnerships. Abbey has navigated the industry's highs and lows, from the exhilaration of the Commonwealth Games to the challenges ofCOVID-19. She built a partnership with Queensland Institute of Medical Research Berghofer to fund brain cancer research and serves on the Board of Directors for theQueensland Tourism Industry Council. She has become recognised as a strategic powerhouse, collaborator, tourism ambassador, leader, and a passionate educator.Abbey received the 2018 Global AirRail Alliance Marketing of the Year award, and is a2024 finalist for the Women in Travel Rail award.
