With a background in equity analysis and audit, he brings a sharp, data-driven perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing the retail sector. In his keynote, The Shift Towards Profitability in Online Retail, Garth will break down the economic forces shaping consumer demand and online retailing in New Zealand. Duncan Petit


General Manager Uber Direct ANZ

Duncan is General Manager of Uber Direct across New Zealand and Australia. With more than 20 years experience in retail consulting, ecommerce, tech and general management he brings a broad range of knowledge across the sector.

Duncan was previously Commercial Director for Uber’s Retail business where his team helped retailers engage in on-demand reaching new customers through the Uber app. Now leading Uber Direct, Duncan is taking that delivery capability and bringing it to Retailers own channels providing the certainty and speed of Uber as a new choice retailers’ own customers. 

Prior to this, Duncan held various roles in Uber Eats including as Director of  Sales & Operations for restaurants across New Zealand & Australia.

Before joining Uber Duncan spent his career consulting to Retail and FMCG clients within market research and analytics companies such as Quantium, Nielsen and dunnhumby.
